Training at ASYC
Sailing Club is an RYA recognised training centre. We extend our warm welcome to all those that want to learn to sail or improve their sailing techniques.
We offer Junior training sessions between Easter and the summer holidays. See the Junior Section for more information. Beginner sailors are encouraged to join in with "Novice Racing". Once adults and juniors have reached a competency equivalent to RYA Sailing Stage / Level 3 they can join our racing program. The club also welcomes any sailors who can sail around a race course to join in with our weekly program of races.
For more information about the training we offer, please visit the club or email us at email@example.com
For adult lessons and Junior lessons out with the ASYC Junior program the club recommends the Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust

Beginner sailing race training is offered from mid April at Loch of Skene by the Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust. Less expereinced sailors (including adults and youngsters) from ASYC are very welcome to attend these sessions on Monday nights. Boats can be hired from both AST and ASYC for these sessions with an extra small charge to cover the expenses for the instructors running the racing.
These sessions are continued in Stonehaven once the club re-locates there at the beginning of June until the evenings get too dark at the beginning of September. Club boats are again for hire, including several double handers.
Several RYA powerboat courses are offered during the year to ensure that we have the best possible safety boat cover during dinghy racing and lessons. These are restricted to club members. RYA certificates for both Powerboat Level 2 and Safety Boat can be issued. These training sessions are usually run over two days of a weekend. To find out more email email@example.com
